Indian film 'Take Off' to screen at Iran's resistance festival

The 15th International Resistance Film Festival (IRFF) is set to screen Indian film 'Take Off' by Mahesh Narayan.

The 15th International Resistance Film Festival (IRFF) of Iran is set to screen Indian film 'Take Off' made by editor-turned-director Mahesh Narayan.

The film is about the Indian nurses held captive by the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group in Iraq back in 2014.

Kunchacko Boban and Fahadh Faasil have appeared in the movie, which is Narayan’s directorial debut.

The film will compete at the 15th edition of IRFF along with other films, including the Indian movie 'Tiger is Alive', the organizers said.

'Tiger Zinda Hai' or 'Tiger is Alive', directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, is a 2017 film, which is also based on the 2014 abduction of Indian and Pakistani nurses by Daesh. It is starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.

The 15th edition of the festival is set to be held in Tehran on November 26-30.

The RIFF, one of the most prestigious international film festivals in Iran, is dedicated to productions on wars and the repercussions of armed conflicts in the world.

It also puts a spotlight on the resistance of the Palestinian people against the Zionist regime, Daesh and their terrorist attacks in the region, and the world’s tyrants and their backing of Daesh.
